Serious Boy shipped out to Berlin recently. Four days with our German neighbours was more than enough to put springs in our steps. We adored the German city and made the most of every chance to explore - mostly the art and the food though to be honest. We loved that the art came to you regardless of whether you went looking for it. Every doorway and wall was a reclaimed canvas. The food provided a welcome end to long days. Our favourite discovery was the
Jüdische Mädchenschule - an old school which has been turned into some fine eating establishments and art galleries. After strolling around the upstairs art rooms, we were rewarded with the culinary delights of
Mogg and Melzer. Words can't even begin to describe how great this Jewish deli iss - but the fact we changed our plans on the last day to go back for a second time, probably speaks for itself. The Chicken Liver Brûlée was the ultimate winner both times, but everything on the menu was a total treat.
Our apartment Prenzlauer Berg was seriously cool - it definitely gave our London pads a run for their money. It was also brilliant for people-watching and deciding which Berlin Warehouse conversion we'd like to buy in the neighbourhood. The picture on the right shows our favourite!

Sunshine on The Spree.
A trip to Berlin Zoological Garden provided an afternoon of fun. We particularly loved the cleaner who had created a sculpture from abandoned dummies and the lass who just wanted to fit in with her surroundings...
Berlin, we will see you again soon.
