Commissioned By Serious Boy

So in between jobs this Spring, we've somehow managed to find the time to create our own series of images. These are some ideas we've wanted to play with for a while now... and we just can't wait to see the results. Shot by the brilliant Jim Fenwick and with SFX make-up artist Alice Jarmey agreeing to get on the other side of the lens for us, we've had a cracking time. We're patiently having to wait to see the final images - hopefully by the end of the week. In the mean time, we thought we'd give a bit of a sneak-peak into some of the fun we've been having of late...

Alice had a Serious case of neck ache by the end of Day 1. The goosebumps were out in force too - Lisa's newly-made Medieval underwear looked great, but didn't do much to keep the wearer warm. It was rather authentic. Our model loved her new look and didn't feel the need to take any hair or make up off for post-shoot drinks afterwards - much to the delight of our favourite cocktail waitress at Happiness Forgets

Day 2 saw Alice on her day off from shooting a horror film. Fresh from making slugs and bile, we put her in front of a wind machine, while she balanced her elongated nose and tried not to fall asleep.

Day 3 was hat and hair day. After a week of Lisa teaching herself to make a hat (who needs millinery school?) and Becca sewing hundreds of silk roses, we had giant Edwardian hat. A few hours of filling Alice's hair with 'rats' as the old day ladies referred to them, we had created quite a head of hair. The weight on this hair combined with the hat was immense - and required a lot of propping up between shots.

Shot 4 had us plaiting 20 metres of hair (Serious hand-ache) and the creation of Crazy Alice. Luckily most of this came off before cocktails this time. Even for Shoreditch, this was quite a look.

Check back soon to see the final images!
